Philanthropy Advisor

Guide Dogs Queensland is seeking a Philanthropy Advisor to join our Community Engagement team working from our head office at Bald Hills. This is a full time position with a broad focus on strengthening donor engagement and loyalty to enable the achievement revenue targets.

 The role provides advice, coordination and support functions within the Bequests and Major Donor program, with a specific focus on Gifts in Wills strategy and operations.

About You

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the principles underpinning successful Major Gifts and Bequests programs, ideally with at least 5 years work experience in one or both programs.

Tertiary studies in fundraising or philanthropy or a related discipline are required.

Demonstration of high level administrative, planning, research and organisational skills, coupled with a warm, friendly and engaging personality will see candidates succeed in the role.

Using your business development skills, you will successfully implement donor stewardship and engagement strategies.

Important skills include your ability and confidence to seek out and ask for financial support from prospective donors.
